The fundamentals of most sports are running, jumping and throwing.  If you can master the technique of these correctly to be efficient and economical on the sport field, court, turf or track then you are already beating your opponent.

A key point I always remind athletes is sport is supposed to be enjoyable, so make sure you have a passion for what you are doing and the results will follow.  There will be tough times but as long as the passion for the sport is there you will be the best you can.
