Originally from Samoa, I attended Marist Brother School and Chanel College. My family moved to Dunedin where I completed my studies and playing Rugby, Volleyball, Boxing, competing in Triathlons and Athletics.

My first job was at Les Mills, Dunedin, teaching group Fitness Classes and Personal Training. I had other career options but decided helping people through coaching and one-on-one training was a lot more rewarding. I relocated to Auckland Les Mills in 1995 where I worked alongside top Physios and Trainers who gave me a greater understanding of how the human body can be optimized with correct technical advice and the right individual programme.

Having 40yrs of experience has given me the understanding and knowledge to provide safe and the right programme to suit each individual. The most beautiful thing about Personal Training is that everyone has a different story, and that is why I love being a Trainer. Different people from all different walks of life.... elite sports men and women, corporates, tradespeople, mothers, children, and senior citizens.

Living a healthier life has never been so important in this busy and stressful world. I encourage you to achieve this for yourself and your family.

- Selected for the NZ Junior Black Fins squad to South Africa (2020) - trip cancelled due to Covid-19

I attended Hereworth School in Havelock North, then moved onto Hastings Boys’ High School before shifting to Napier Boys in the middle of 2018 to focus more on playing rugby along with the academic side of school. It has always been and big dream of mine to become a professional athlete.

From a young age I became passionate about leading a healthy lifestyle and I would try and get into the gym as much as I was allowed. From my parents I have learnt a lot about understanding not only my own body, but keeping ones body strong, fit, healthy and nutritionally sound, and how this can be applied to others.

​I have competed and participated in a lot of sports over the years, ranging from football to rugby, surf lifesaving, athletics, boxing, and weightlifting. Some of my greatest achievements have been in Surf Lifesaving, Rugby, and Athletics. I have played along side Magpies players, Wellington rugby players and Hurricanes players which I have also gained a substantial amount of knowledge from these guys about the game and what kind of training gives the best outcome to perform at a high level.

I really want to make a difference in people’s lifestyle through health and fitness. I get a real buzz of watching and helping people succeed to reach their ultimate goals. I realise that the same programme does not work for everyone, and I will make sure that your training is realistic and fits to you in what you are wanting to achieve. My goal is working to get the optimum and most beneficial results with my clients not only physically and nutritionally, but also mentally and spiritually!

Wesley is currently away in Auckland.
